There is probably some part of me that doesn't hurt but I can't find it. I did a ten miler with backpack today and my back aches. I made a bad socks choice so my feet hurt. Even my fingers hurt. I suppose I'll get used to this. The slight trouble is that it makes the everything else such hard work. When I got back from this expedition to darkest Colliers Wood and back I found the dishwasher needed emptying - groan; what an effort. I just want to lie down and sip tea now but the huge task of making the tea outweighs the gasping. I am sure things will get better as I get fitter and stronger and buy better socks. I do really love walking even if it is at the pace of a paraplegic snail with very old people overtaking me. There was a point coming up Wimbledon Hill when I thought if I went any slower I would actually be stationary. I considered calling Sherpa Services to carry my (almost empty) backpack for the last half mile to my house or even a taxi.
Now I'm off to walk the dogs.
